Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting potential at the at the time. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract for Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. The following year, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
