Kelly Nash grew up in Davie, Florida a city located just outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kelly Nash spent her childhood fishing and boating alongside her father Ed Nash. She has two sisters, Kaitlyn Nash and Carolyn Nash. Kelly Nash is of English, Irish, Swedish, and Portuguese Ethnic group. Her great-grandfather immigrated into the United States from Portugal.

 Kelly Nash loved the Miami Marlins as a child. Although Nash was always interested in sports, she always dreamed of being a journalist. In the year 2006, Kelly Nash graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies. Clemson granted her a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership. In exchange for covering their soccer and baseball teams during the duration of her Sports information Department career, she was awarded an athletic scholarship that was full-time through the Clemson Academic Department.

 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, is featured on multiple shows which include Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights program. She also serves as an NHL Network Studio host, appearing on the Nightly Game recap Show, On The Fly. She joined the MLB Network in March 2015 and Began Contributing to the NHL Network in 2015 when NHL Network's on-air operations began to be based at the MLB Network's headquarters.
